Tips for Posting on this Wiki

You can watch short video tutorials on using wikispaces here:
http://www.wikispaces.com/site/tour

You might try clicking on "Help", located at the upper-right-hand corner of the wiki home page.

Briefly, here are the steps you need to take:

1. Be sure your files that you want to upload have your name in the file name: patrickwrnarrative.doc, for example.

2. On the wiki home page, click on the Writing Narratives link on the left-hand menu.

3. On the Writing Narratives page, click on "Edit" at the top of the page.

4. Now the page will appear with an editing toolbar at the top. Go to the very bottom of the page; make sure the cursor is AFTER all other files and writing, and then space a couple of times.

5. Choose "Heading 2" from the toolbar, and then choose a color by clicking on the toolbar button that has a capital "T" on it (it says Style Text when you move your mouse over it). Type your full name. Then hit the return key.

6. Now click on the toolbar button that says "File." That will take you to an "Images and Files" box where you can first upload your files, and then embed them on the page. To upload a file, click on Upload Files, which will take you to your computer's file listings. Choose the file you want and click "open," and that will put the file into the wiki file listing. Then click on your uploaded file, and it will put it on to the wiki page.

7. Repeat for any additional files. When you are finished, click Preview to make sure it looks the way you want it to, and that you haven't deleted someone else's files by mistake. Then click Save, and you're done.

It isn't as hard as it sounds once you do it a time or two. If all else fails, email the file(s) to me, and then we can find a time to work together and help you learn this.
